The meeting, which was held with the organization of MARENTECH EXPO, the first offshore energy technologies event of Turkey and the surrounding geography, with the support and participation of İzmir Development Agency (İZKA), Overseas Energy Association (DURED) and Energy Industrialists & Businessmen's Association (ENSIA) and Offshore Wind It was held under the title of Energy and Opportunities for İzmir Meeting.
Feraye Gürel, Member of the Board of Directors of BİFAŞ, said, “We are happy to bring Marentech Expo to İzmir, which is known as the wind energy capital.The Offshore Wind Energy fair, which will be held for the first time in Turkey; We also continue our cooperation with Denmark, Belgium, England, Norway, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Ukraine and Singapore in order to bring commercial delegations, expert companies to the Marentech Expo, and to improve the energy sector business volume.
One of the opening speakers, İzmir Development Agency Secretary General Dr. Mehmet Yavuz, said, “The climate crisis has become one of the most important agendas of the world, as well as one of the important agendas of our country with the signing of the Paris Climate Agreement. In addition to the contribution to the fight against climate change, the widespread use of environmentally friendly practices, reducing the cost of energy; Many opportunities, from the production of high value-added products to the creation of new job opportunities called green jobs, appear with this transformation.”
